Meet the team behind the Coaching Huddle.

Coaching Huddle founder Mary Dillon helps organizations and individuals navigate significant change, shows leaders how to greatly expand their impact, and assists individuals navigating personal and career aspirations to make them reality.

For over 20 years, Mary has spent her career building teams, setting a strategic vision, and gaining executive buy-in at startups and companies like Block (fka Square) and Intel. She has rapidly scaled organizations across established corporate environments and nimble startups, designed change management protocols, and developed operational strategies — all while prioritizing empathy and trust.

Raised in Nebraska where she developed her hard work ethic, direct nature, and midwestern charm, she received her Bachelor’s of Arts at Creighton University, and her Master’s of Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

In her free time, Mary loves to travel, spend quality time with her nieces and nephews, and soak in the beauty of the Oregon Coast. Mary also sits on the Board of Directors for The Children’s Course/First Tee of Greater Portland, and is shameless in asking for help in supporting those kids.

Our sessions are often attended by a silent partner, Zio. At the tender age of 8 months, Zio snuggled into a pet carrier under the airline seat of a United Nations lawyer and flew from the dog rescue in Pristina, Kosovo, to Seattle, Washington and met Mary in April 2016. Zio keeps Mary walking 5 miles a day, diligently protects the house from squirrels and houseflies, and acts like the Grand Marshal of a parade as he walks the streets of our small town greeting visitors and locals alike. He loves ear scratches, long walks on the beach, checking shrubs and tall grass for discarded tasty treasure, and watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean from his sunset table.
